The Legal Referral Service is fully operational with all attorney referral counselors and participating lawyers working remotely. The City Bar’s Lawyer Assistance Program is a free, confidential service for attorneys, judges, law students and their family members in New York City who are struggling with alcohol or drug use, depression, anxiety and stress, as well as other addictions and mental health issues, remains available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, at 21. Lawyers Assistance Project - Mental Health & Well-being Effective September 7, we will be reintroducing a limited selection of live programs and CLE in-person. We are updating our roster of On-Demand CLE programs, creating new, timely CLE programming to be delivered via live webinars. Staff includes bilingual attorneys (English and Spanish) and can accept calls in any language through interpreting services. With New York City having ended its Key to NYC program, and in consideration of public health guidance and the low COVID transmission rates in and around the City, the New York City Bar Association is no longer requiring visitors to show proof of vaccination or wear a mask when entering the building.
